"I will rejoice in the Lord; I will be joyful in God my Savior."
Habakkuk 3:17

At six-years-of-age Kay believed God wanted her to become a preacher. Her bubble burst two years later when a fellow student told her, "Girls can't be preachers." If she couldn't be a preacher, Kay decided she would become a missionary teacher. "After all," the child reasoned, "teachers talk almost as much as preachers." Her life pathway would take her from classroom teaching to writing her first book which ultimately paved her way to the pulpit.

Writer, speaker and story-teller, Kay's practical and uplifting messages are in demand at retreats, conferences and convocations throughout the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. A graduate of and represented by CLASS (Christian Leaders and Speaker’s Seminars, Inc.), she serves on CLASS’s West Coast teaching staff.

Since Kay left the classroom, she has authored 52 books and 1000+ articles. A biography I WILL DIE FREE remained on the press' best seller list for 10 years. Her latest biography, BATTERED TO BLESSED is destined to break that record. Her monthly column can be seen in "Winner," a lifestyle magazine for early teens.

Kay resides in California's San Joaquin Valley where she serves her local congregation as a praise team leader and women's ministry director. The "apples of her eye" include Richard, her husband of 40+ years; her two daughters; two sons-in law; and two grandsons.
